Michael and Nika Foskett

 

The club's fantastic coaches are Michael and Nika, who have been dancing together since 2013.

​

Michael started dancing at his family dance school at the age of 5, and worked his way up through the ISTD medal system before deciding to compete at the age of 10. Nika is originally from Kyiv, Ukraine and started dancing at the age of 12 competing with 'Shans' dance club.

​

Upon their initial pairing they had immensely successful results in the Youth (Under 21) category, winning the following titles, as well as being awarded the prestigious 'Young Dancer of the Year Award' in 2015.

In the Amateur category they were National, European and Star Ball finalists, before turning Professional in July 2022 and on their debut were crowned United Kingdom Closed Professional 10-Dance Champions!

​

At the same time as their dance career, they both went on to higher education with Nika completing a BSc (Hons.) in Business Management at Kingston University and Michael studying with us at Surrey for 8 years ultimately completing a PhD in Applied Mathematics in 2020!

​

Their dance partnership became a partnership for life when they were married in August 2017 and they are now part of the team running their family dance school 'Surrey Hills Dance Centre' in Dorking.
